Pinot Gris
Pinot Gris is one of the key white grapes of New Zealand. Ripe tree, citrus and stone fruit flavours ride on a lightly spiced, generous texture. The New Zealand styles vary but often sit in the happy medium between lighter neutral style Pinot Grigio of Italy and the richer style of the Alsace. Expect the wines to be food friendly and approachable with the best examples being lees aged, complex and age worthy.
