Takapoto Estate Bannockburn Pinot Noir 2017

An excellent bouquet with a core of ripe primary red fruits, bottle development reveals some secondary characters with a touch of leather and mushroom then vanilla and baking spices of barrel-ageing. Dry on the palate with flavours of cherry and aged plum, dried cherry and some toasty barrel spice qualities. Tannins and acidity form the backbone of this wine with fruits macerating in between. A lovely wine in a ready to drink state.
